I might be crazy, but I keep hearing hints of brazilian guitar in Regondi. I suspect it's the harmonic and rythmic richness of these works playing tricks on my ear.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hears this! For instance #2 has rhythms you’d hear in something like Pernambuco. Also, Regondi uses a lot of 9ths and 13ths.

@@davidjaggs both please, I gotta know for myself. I'm having a guitar made for me and I'm old. I'm thinking 3.5 mm. On the bass side. To low maybe ?
@davidjaggs2 жыл бұрын
@@mikehoehn1475 Possibly. Mine is 4.5mm on bass E and between 3.5 and 3.75 on treble E. It depends on your playing too. If you play hard, loud rest strokes it could be too low, but if you're a light player you might get away with it. You can always have a couple of bridges made. Hope it turns out well! I think this is discussed in one of my videos here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2WWgYiers1ghK8

Please try to present both hands. Unless one knows for sure what is of utmost importance when it comes to guitar playing, presenting just one hand is rather uninformative. This is to say that the player and the microphone are great but the image should improve if the aim is to cater for guitar players and students.
