I've played piano my entire life, since 5 years old. I speak from personal experience! After 12+ years of practicing almost everyday of my 20 years alive on planet earth, I can understand why an amazing song like this can appear very complicated to a non-pianist, it's like learning a new language. After much practice, and lots of sacrifice, you too can speak and understand the language of music for yourself and realize this song is not as complex as it seems! I can barely play by ear but the real language of music is being able to read/play the notes. I believe anyone can play piano, never doubt your potential! I belive this ONE secret that can allow you to become a musician, artist, athlete, wealthy, successful in anything you want... the secret is: Sacrifices. Anyone who has become wealthy or successful in anything in life, they all have one thing in common, the single common denominator is sacrifice. The words "Hard Work" boiled down equals simple daily sacrifices. You See, instead of playing games, lighting up, or getting hammered on the weekends, I practiced piano instead (for the most part). Those were the things I temporarily gave up because I believed that playing a beautiful piano was worth it, and it was. It's "hard work" to give up what feels great in that moment to do something you don't feel like doing (practicing piano, studying, etc.). Sacrifice some things if you really want to do something special with your life. Start small, baby steps at first. Find that motivation! Because now today, I've learned enough that with LITTLE dedicated practice, I can play almost any song I want on piano, and I can STILL go get fucking hammered and fucked up now AND play piano like a damn boss! So, a little or big sacrifice can go a long way! Start TODAY!

Two years ago, I decided I wanted to play this song at any cost of hours practiced. One thing led to another and I ended up learning many other pieces with one being Rachmaninoff’s prelude in c# minor, but coming back to this reminds of how wonderful of an experienced it’s been spending my time on something so real and meaningful. That little urge to master this song has the potential to really change you the way you only ever dream of. If your getting that feeling I got two years ago, express it because you’ll love yourself for it and you can never lose that like other indefinite things in this world. Thank you for this excellent piece and how much I learned about myself through it

I do not understand why you all say that this is impossible, or that only piano virtousos could play it. I started playing the piano when I was 8, now I'm 17 and i DON'T practice everyday, I'm not much talented but I learned how to play this song, from this sheet music and mostly i do not make any mistakes anymore. Anf of course I'm proud of myself but it's not the hardest song that i learn to play. If I could do this, you can do this too, believe me- it's not that hard ;) There are plenty of much harder songs to play, Skyfall just needs some time and practicing. It's not a song for virtuosos, trust me.

This is a great piece of music, isn't it? I like the way you use Synthesia for your vidoes. My piano tutorials use a more traditional step-by-step method, but they are for beginners rather than intermediate players like yours. I've thought about using Synthesia, but for the really easy tunes I teach, I think it might be overkill! Anyway, keep doing these great videos!

There is a channel here on youtube which combine the best of both worlds. Just visit HD Piano channel. Of course, this needs a special set up. My piano teacher likes G minor. I've always loved C minor before I even knew what it was. Whatever floats your boat. :)

I like g minor because a lot of song are in g minor, especially Money for Nothing, Shine on you crazy diamond and smoke on the water. I like so much d minor and a minor too

People say that this is hard to play or impossible because they don't have the patient to learn the notes and don't relax when they play. It takes time, patient, time, patient... you must learn and concentrate on your finger muscles when you play Piano, Guitar or other musical instrument and the key is to RELAX. Believe me, there are hundreds of compositors who have written and played 5 or 10 times more complicated songs than this and there are other people who are gonna write more harder, deeper, complicated songs. Just be positive, take your time, don't think for other things while you are learning or playing, relax and enjoy the freedom of music :)

I tried this piece, but got all screwed up when the music started! I love the syncopation and the chord structure in this one. It's fast becoming one of my favourites!!

Tip! Don't play the right hand/red bars/melody! You can sing it yourself and it only makes it sound more fake ^^"

I used to play piano but I didn't like now I play violin, I hate it. Maybe I would like them more if my mom didn't force me to practice everyday and my music teacher would give us interesting songs. Now I see this...

Same I was forced into piano at age 4 and quit a year into school. All these years later here I am teaching myself piano for fun and loving it! ... Life's funny like that 🤔🙌
