Thanks, Robert. I hope it helps. Have you used dput before?

Mark Gingrass I had never heard of dput before Mark. I used Reprex for the first time last week. I have a C++ compiler issue from the brms package that is giving a lot of users fits. I am very glad to have seen your video using dput

I wonder if you have something called rtools installed or not. Some packages require some C++ back end and Java backends that can cause problems. Hmm.

CradleToGraveR I do have Rtools 4.0. I had to remove Rtools and reinstall. I think the C++ compiler was looking for a folder that was not where it was expected. I had help... it took about an hour to find the issue and reinstall.

Is this how I would go about adding a reproducible dataset which I'm playing around in excel with, to SO?

I'm super new to R and was grateful to find your video. However, I'm having a hard time using dput when I'm trying to pull out all rows of specific columns, rather than all columns of specific rows, as that's how my provided data set is organized. Is that something I should be doing by column name, rather than the column position? I tried your approach but switched up the rows/columns to this > gss_press_clean_sub
