If you "Do" self-inquiry, you will do until your end. In doing there is a doer, that is, MOTIVE. Do you SEE how thought has tricked you all? I have heard David Godman say in one of the videos that once a man asked Bagawan,"I have done self-inquiry for last 25 years and I have not attained anything, and Bagawan seemed to have replied, in that case, do it for another 25 years". The only fact Bagawan is trying to help you SEE is the fact that "I" is just a thought, it is NOT independent of THOUGHT. When thought is not there, is there a thinker? Thinker and Thought are one and the same. For example, a computer that you use or a mobile phone exists whether you think about it or not, but the "I" is there when there is no thought? "I" exists as long as thought exists. The final answer is "I" is just a THOUGHT. It's not a reality. Just grasp this TRUTH and be extremely alert. The day will come automatically but you may not know when and where. Alertness! Alertness! Alertness! That's all you can do.
