This is not an engagement. It is a wedding. It has been blended with elements of tradition and Roman/European cultural influence ie. Ring exchange, and Christianity. Even so called educated Ghanaians doesn’t know the concept of traditional marriage. Is this a traditional marriage? Is it because of the head gear of the woman and the unnecessary drumming that’s why it’s called traditional marriage?. Ask your Chiefs in any Akan traditional area if this is traditional marriage. Where in the bible does a man presented a bible to a wife in marriage.? And what traditional marriage deserve a bible. What’s the bible for? What a crap . 2 Peter 2:21. Educated people who will enlightened the unknown are even blind. This’s why Ghana is at the cliff edge. No wonder Donald Trump doesn’t like Africans to gain any entries into America. Because , many are not learning anything to educate the marginalised Ghanaians. Education without broad knowledge is even useless. This’s why our leaders don’t know their left and right in government.
