i get it.. but i dont like it... considering i dont need to worry about any of these nutrients on a balanced diet im pretty turned off being vegan as i dont want to take supplements or powders or even eat seaweed, ground flax and lichen, they are more medicines and you should fix the cause so you dont have to live on medicines.. you can get all those nutrients from oysters or fish alone and those actual foods arent supplemented at all so most people wont go vegan if its lacking nutrients regardless of why.. apparently flax isnt enough and you need to take dha supplements anyway according to Dr Greger and Dr fuhrman.. we just simply arent supposed to be vegan guys.. sure if you take supplements and powders you can make it work.. but not many people are willing to do that.. i wouldnt want to raise kids on supplements either it just doesnt seem right and there is unknown dangers lurking down that path anyway, i wish i could be vegan.. p.s. Andrew you forgot about selenium, farm animals need to be supplemented with that aswel so humans probably need to watch that also (nuts from brazil lol) the list never ends..
