A patient having dry cough and throat clearing for above 6 months with h/o asthma in grandfather consulted pulmonary med,the doctor suspect asthma but the pft is normal and not singnificant h/o sneezing or allergy.Doc also prescribed fluticasone nasal drip suspecting Pnd. But the symptom is persistent.how to proceed¿

Sir you are doing a very Noble job by educating all of us free of cost...Its a very nice way to learn by ruling out the possibilities/differentials one by one...but Sir the practical problem is that the pt. will not be having so much patience to come to us again and again(specially in the Peripheral/rural settings) ,so the most probable differentials should be addressed as early as possible...such as by prescribing antacid/PPIs and taking drug history at the time of examination etc...🙏

Sir what should be done when all the investigations are normal, and patient is relieved with treatment provided. But after 3 weeks again comes with the same complaints.
