I've been trying to figure out what, if any , parts of the bottle I'm supposed to keep in while warming, for the past 6 weeks. I've seen so many conflicting directions so thank youuuu for explaining this so simply!! I've been warming the bottles with everything taken out, but covered with just a twist on cap. Even in the manual that came with the warmer, it says take out all apparatus- but the pic shows the nipple on. On the sticker on the front of the machine, theres a drawing showing everything taken off (including nipple), but with a closed twist on cap on it. Not to mention the KZbin videos I've watched where they keep EVERYTHING on the bottle. So you can see why I was frustrated and why I'm so happy I found this video!!! Thank you for being so thorough, yet simple.

+jillmatic I'm so glad I could help! Thanks for the kind comments - and I agree that all of the videos I have watched about this warmer had all the parts & pieces in/on the bottle as well. That ring at the top can get so hot!
@matteocattani6296 жыл бұрын
KidStuffHQ the bottle warmer comes with a screw cap you’re supposed to put on the bottle while heating it up. Not sure why she didn’t show that in this video. If you put the bottle in the warmer with no lid at all, the condensation from the steam will water down your milk.
@Jillionaire_6 жыл бұрын
@@matteocattani629 hmmm....mine didn't come with any type of screw cap, or anything else for that matter. I did think about the condensation thing, but I've been doing it thus way for a little while now and the amount of condensation doesnt appear to be enough to affect her milk at all. Maybe diff stores or diff countries sell different packages where some come with the caps and some dont?? Thanks for letting me know though!
@kidstuffhq83046 жыл бұрын
+Matteo Cattani Yes this is a good point - if you get a set that has a cap it is a nice option!

I contacted Dr Browns. I Sent my old leaking warmer since its still under 1 yr warranty (they paid the postage) and they sent me a new one. They don’t have an idea why it was happening that way and suggested to always use distilled water and not tap water every use.

My question is - how long do I sanitize the pacifier's for. I don't know if they can warp or worse, melt, but I would feel so much better doing this after washing them! Thanks in advance! Great video!
@kidstuffhq83044 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry I'm getting back to your comment so late Brittany! (We just got done with a cross-country move.) I believe the Dr. Brown's manual said 2-3 minutes to sanitize pacifiers. :)

So we have to set the amount of time needed to get a cold bottle room temperature or warm right? I guess I’ll just have play with it for a while because I have no clue how long that it would take.

Do the doctor Browns glass wide neck bottles fit? We had this warmer previously for our standard bottles but we broke it (totally our fault). With our baby coming, we have switched to glass and wide neck and loved this warmer with standard, but want to make sure wide neck glass will fit before purchasing again.
@kidstuffhq83046 жыл бұрын
+Kendra Smith Hi Kendra! I personally do not have glass bottles, but according to the Dr. Brown's website: "[The Dr. Brown's Bottle Warmer uses] Electric steam heat that quickly warms baby bottles and food jars. This convenient electric steam warming system fits ALL Dr. Brown’s® bottles and most other bottle brands." This came from the page www.drbrownsbaby.com/products/bottle-warmer/ - Hope this helps! :)
@kidstuffhq83045 жыл бұрын
+Kendra Smith I'm sorry I'm responding so late, I have not been on this channel for a bit. (Congratulations on the new baby!) I am guessing you have already decided on a bottle warmer, but figured I would answer for anyone in the future. The manual for this product said that it would work with all Dr. Brown's bottles, but we did not have the wide neck so I cannot verify.

What happens if you accidentally run it without water in the reservoir? Will it have burnt plastic smell?
@kidstuffhq83044 жыл бұрын
I have been trying to find a good answer for you online but have been unable to. :( I do remember running it a couple of times and the water had run out mid-cycle, the hot plate inside simply got hot and there was no steam. I don’t remember a burnt plastic smell but I do not believe we ever ran it completely dry. Sorry I don’t have a better answer!
@yup95yearsago204 жыл бұрын
@@kidstuffhq8304 thank you so much for your response. I was afraid it would cause some type of harm but so far our baby seems to be really good as before. It was the middle of the night and accidentally ran it with no water. It was maybe just me panicking but baby has been good. Thank you once again and thanks for the review.

Do you know if this will fit a glass baby brezza bottle?
@kidstuffhq83044 жыл бұрын
I am sorry, but do not know the answer to that. On their website it says: “Adjustable basket fits all Dr. Brown’s bottles and most other bottle brands.” Which doesn’t help at all... :( I cannot find a measurement online on the Dr. Brown’s website either for the diameter of the basket. However, I checked Amazon and someone in the comments said it was roughly a 3 inch diameter. I wish I could help more, if we hadn’t sold ours at our local Rhea Lana event I would go measure for you!

Can you use a different brand of bottles in this or does it have to be Dr. Browns bottles only?
@kidstuffhq83046 жыл бұрын
+ashith kushani You can use different brands! I have used an Avent and a MAM with success. I would measure the dimensions first, as I am not sure about some of the wider-necked bottles.
