Yes, We all know who was there to console her and Anthony. He is also the one who has helped in the deception of Ant & The She-devil. He is like everyone’s emotional support animal. And yes she was vulnerable. Sorry, I have lived through a moment myself. Looking at his actions, he also pulled her head towards him which shows initiation on his part during an emotional breakdown of tearing self down. Backstory: Dalen is the nerd that lived in Anthony’s shadow in college. The feeling was shown and talked about for Piarry. The Jock and his attached nerd. Granted, I can accept that he has feelings for her, especially when He told Britt that she needs to be more like Amber, we see what is hidden coming more to the surface. However, he came through the gate lying to her as well which again reflects his character and continued support & loyalty to the lie. I think he is more committed to Anthony. With Ant constantly pushing Dalen to run interference, he grew to feel for Amber along the way. Conflicted emotion entered at some point. Also, having to grow up with a overbearing and controlling mom, has grown to be more sensitive to woman. However, He would not have known Amber if she was not with Anthony. So it has nothing to do with his money or him being a nerd because Mike was a broke clown. Amber had a fairy tail romance like every little girl, because these are the stories we have grown up on. with Ant in the beginning of their relationship.
