I walked onto a lava flow in the National Park. It was a long, hot walk then I watched lava flow out of a crack in the earth. The most amazing thing I've ever seen.

I love SPAM. I grew up on it as an Army brat. It was cheap. We would have it plain, fried, BBQ'd. ground up and mixed with other meat as an extender, grilled, and cut up in soups and stews.

We were poor and it was cheap. But I love it fried with mustard. It’s a handy staple during a hurricane, too.

The absolute best times in my life were spent in Hawaii. For five glorious years I was fortunate to enjoy the beauty and the reverence of Oahu. I worked at Pearl Harbor and every time I walked where Heroes walked I felt humbled. The USS Arizona Memorial always made me weep knowing there were Heroes entombed forever in their stricken ship under my feet. I loved Hawaii!

I love the big island. It has it all, including 11 of the worlds 17 climate zones. Snow to reefs. I love the look on Chris's face when chef said Spam. My dad always said that Spam is ham that failed inspection. While there is low salt Spam, it's still so awfully processed. I recommend you stick with the fresh fruit and fresh fish. Be

Every household in Hawaii has Spam in their cupboards. For a quick dinner, my dad would eat spam, eggs over easy, and rice. It was simple but filling.

Musubi is delicious, probably due to all the salt in it. I have always removed the seaweed because it tastes exactly what I imagined seaweed tastes like.

@@untamedwildlifeTV Spam was made in order to get rid of what used to be a worthless cut of meat the pork shoulder it is now an expensive cut of meat . They kill minimum of 1,300 pigs a hour in inhumane (death is not humane but you know what I mean) ways.

Chris, do you know what has built the islands? I do! The islands were built over a "HOT SPOT". Because of Plate Tectonics, the land has moved over the hot spot. Yellow Stone in Wyoming, mainland USA is over a HOT SPOT also. The last time it blew up it was in Idaho, again it is about plate tectonics! I have learned all of this from a geology professor at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, named Nick Zentner.

I hate to tell y'all but the lava is a creation of God. Of course I guess that's not a easy idea for some. But Pele is a mythical being started years ago by the first people to the islands. Yes it's a good story but remember all things that happen on Earth are caused by God. Just like with climate change, all is controlled by God. Sorry, Dr Chris but I would rather go to Hawaii than to Australia, but it's just a wish. I hope you enjoyed other adventures in Hawaii than visiting a volcano and looking at the giant manta rays though they were interesting more so than the volcano but then that's me. Happy trails to you and God bless.
