Do not waste a vote. Voting for Dr. West. I respect him, but I can’t do a protest vote at this time

I think it would be great if he'd run for Congress or governor

@@davispatricks5453 It would make sense for all the 3rd Parties to become Democrats, and take over the party, as the far-Right has shown can be done, in their take-over of the Republican Party. The people are being gaslighted from both sides. The kind of change that is needed, will never come from top down. It must start in with the public. When we live in accord with the values that naturally are aligned with the policies we seek, those policies will become possible, because the people we send to government, will share those same values.

11:35 some of our young ministers have adopted some negative evangelical ways and have rejected the cross shaped ministry looking for success without the labor that's on the ground rather than in the air. Local church versus media driven. When we emphasize the local church we emphasize the local needs on the ground. Such as prisons, gang affiliation, juvenile and adolescent development. These needs are met at the local level. When we are highlight and media driven those needs don't mean as much.

62 thousand subscribers & and so far 14, 800 views, so why so few comments? So what was gained from this gathering that took place in 2010? Given that things have certainly not improved, for those who need the most improvement in their lives, what is to be gained from presenting this, without commentary that reflects what it all means, in today's context? When do we become as systemic and structured as that which we say opposes us? West always talks about religion and Michael Eric Dyson is a Minister. West is always talking about us being spiritual and resilient, at the same time he describes his Christian nature as having "gangster proclivities'. He has said this almost every time I've watched him speak. Dyson or the other hand says "Black on Black crime is not a thing", basically because people harm/commit crimes against people they live near. They both are contradictory, in their particular ways. Dyson and others like him, who now have this dismissive attitude toward the value we place on our lives, will not explain this inexplicable shift they have made. That no other group talks about them killing one another, or how much they kill one another, does not justified the level of violence that has been, for a long time, happening among us. Why does West find it necessary to associate himself with gangsters. He calls Trump a gangster & a thug, so how do immature minds process, these kind of obvious contradictions? Many younger genertations amuong us call a person, who is a trailblazer an OG. Many rap artist take on the names of gansters, or names that denote violence, the same with some of us naming the cities or communities they live in with names that denote hoe violent they are. This association with violence has been normalized in the "Culture" that youg generations speak of. Given the level of harm we have been doing to ourselves, doesn't it require us to employ as many safety mechanism as possible, to protect us from ourselves/each other? Why have we gotten away from overcompensating for the disadvantages we face? Isn't that how we made the greatest gains we have made? Our young people will give an extra effort in the areas of sports and entertainment, but what of the fundamental area of education and skill acquisition in general? West talked about the need for role models, but in this age of information, role models are ever where. It is not a question of role models but of having the basic values that all societies are built on? What is asked for in mentors, is too often surrogate parents. Not just anyone can provide what many of these young people need. The tradition social institutions must be allowed to perform their function. Teachers have traditionally been role models, but they are not valued like they once were. Order does not exist in too many schools, and the problem is so widespread that many school districts are losing teachers faster than they can be replaced. We have long been in a crisis situation, yet still have not responded accordingly. Something must be asked as well as demanded, from those who are causing so much of the problem. The present attitude that all of our problems are the external forces of racism, in all its forms, is wrong. We surely add significantly to our problems. Those who cause most of the problems among us, run with this excuse woke activists give them. Politicians save for prosecutors don't spread this false message, and those who have are starting to lose their positions because of it. Those who do criminal acts get young people to do crimes, when young people themselves are not doing so on their own, because they know that they will be little consequences, if they are caught. Black people are being gas-lite by both sides - conservatism and woke-ism. We must vote for Harris, but after that, we must get real with ourselves, and soon. People like West must become Democrats and try to take-over the party from within, just as the far-right has done with the Republican Party. There is but two choices.

While I appreciate the value of these discussions, it's important to recognize the historical context- communities of color have often been marginalized in political discourse. At this juncture, it seems insufficient to suddenly engage in political awareness, particularly when the stakes are extraordinarily high for these communities, regardless of their socioeconomic status". While there will be opportunities for dialogue in the future, the current climate presents an urgent situation that demands immediate attention. Vote Vote Vote
