Generally, Dre is not a great rapper. This song is a big exception (along with "Natural Born Killaz," the lyrics to which I think were all from Ice Cube, at least they sure sound like it) and probably Dre's best rapping performance. I don’t listen much rap, but this music takes me right to nostalgic 90s. Best years ever. Those 80s and 90s are best times ever. Kids now don’t know what’s going on, they think it’s normal but it gets worse around the world daily and will never be same again. Those who lived through those years know what I’m talking about. Sure,, we didn’t have all this things and technology then, but people were much happier. It didn’t take much to be happy then, people were more social and friendly. Poor but happy. Now technology replaced everything and made everyone like robots, always in hurry to make more money but no happiness.

@Flichter3 жыл бұрын
Friday with a bigger budget probably would have ruined the masterpiece that is Friday. The sequels are funny and enjoyable, but the original Friday is an artistic masterpiece. Friday holds up wonderfully and might actually be more powerful today than when it was made in 1995. It's deep, it's got some wonderful messages - like how carrying a gun doesn't make you a man and responsibility for your actions. It was also able to present a realistic and positive representation of a black family - Craig has a mother and father who both work hard to provide for their children, it doesn't glamorize gang banging, selling drugs or disrespecting females. It shows the journey of Craig becoming a man, without taking shortcuts or going the easy route to get there. At the same time, it brilliantly hides those deep messages as they're intertwined with absolute hilarity, thanks a great deal to Smokey lol
