His top students in Libya said "we will obey Haftar even if he orders us to sin" The madkhali scholars say even if the scholar commits kufr don't rebel - shamsi knows this but is being disengenius. Shaykh Taweel and many others say obey the leader even if he sexually assulated your family members. Shaykh Al-Rayees says in a fatwa which went viral in Arab world even if the leader commits zina and drinks alcohol every day live in TV you must obey and not even publically condemn him and invite people to love him. In Egypt the famous madkhali scholars asked Sisi to kill the protesters.

To answer the doubt raised; Yes it is from the Creed and belief of Ahlus-Sunnah to listen and obey the ruler in goodness whether he is righteous or disobedient. But with that being said we do no obey him in those things Allāh has made forbidden and it is from the principles of Ahlus-Sunnah “لا طاعة لمخلوق في معصية الخالق" meaning you cannot obey any of the creation if it involves disobedience to the the creator. So if a ruler orders you to kill an innocent soul or the like then you are not allowed to obey him in that command.

Brother this is the standard answer but in reality this is not what madkhali scholars advocate. Madkhali scholars advocated overthrow of President Morsy and the killing of his supporters. Shaykh Rabee orders his followers to kill for Haftar and cause an uprising against President Sarraj of Libya. One of the top madkhali followers of Shaykh Rabee in Libya says "we follow Haftar even in sin". Shaykh Al-Taweel of Kuwait says obey ruler even if he sexually abuses your female relatives and shaykh Al-Rayees says if ruler goes on TV each day commiting zina don't condemn him by name and invite people to love him.

Dr G No.1 There’s a difference between the Ruler falling into sin himself like drinking alcohol or committing Zina etc... that’s between him and Allāh. So long as he is a Muslim then you still have to listen and obey due to the plentiful ahadith in this baab. Like the statement of the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم “Listen and obey to the ruler even if he hits your back or takes your wealth.” A very clear cut command to still listen and obey the Muslim ruler even if he is sinful and oppressive so long as he is a Muslim. So those sins are between him and his Lord. As for if the ruler orders you to carry out a sin then Ahlus-Sunnah hold that it is impermissible to obey in that sin specifically but you still have to obey him generally in other things. Meaning if he orders you to drink alcohol then you are forbidden to obey him and then if he orders you right after with something not opposing the religion then you have to listen and obey him. This is what the scholars of the Salafis teach and spread the likes of Shaykh Rabee, Shaykh Fawzan and other than them. Distinguish between the two affairs for they are not the same. Perhaps your misunderstanding has lead you to accusing some mashaykh that which they did not say. We do not believe - as is common now and widespread - that if the ruler falls into a sin then he is Kafir or if the ruler falls into a sin or commands with a sin then we have to revolt against him and remove him due to the ahadith warning against revolting against him and commanding to be patient with him and anyone who reads history knows the great evil caused by revolting against ones muslim ruler. The way of going against ruler just because of a sin is from the way of the Khawarij and a perfect example of how the Salaf were in dealing with rulers that are sinful is their dealing with Hajjaj bin Yusuf. al-Hasan al-Basri and many of the companions warned against revolting and going against the ruler even though he killed thousands intact even some Sahabah. Is any ruler worse than Hajjah and is any of us better than the Sahabah and Tabi’een? والله أعلم وبالله التوفيق

It completely exposes their evil. Furthermore read the works of sulayman Al alwan, Safar Al hawali, Abu Hanifa, imam Malik, imam shafii, history of the Sahaba is also their kryptonite. Abdullah ibn az Zubayr rebelled against the ruler, was he a Khariji? Sa'ad ibn Jubayr rebelled against the rulers, Abu Hanifa supported rebellion. Are they all Khariji? When the discussion stagnates on technicalities, like the word unconditional (which most people can understand the general meaning of), it is clearly a fruitless conversation. I wish to add my 2 cents so to speak. Shaikh Dr. Rabea al-Madkhali is a scholar from the people of Sunnah, the former head of Hadeeth department at Madinah University. However, some of his views in Jarh wa ta'deel are openly disagreed with by scholars. Shaikh al-Uthaymeen for example said you don't boycott the innovator unless this the benefit over weighs the harm. Shaikh al-Albaani's approach was to continue to advising the innovator as long as it doesn't harm the individual advising. Shaikh Bin Baaz advises the people of innovation in this many letters, politely and with respect contrary to how the the likes of SPUBS and co. put forward their so called refutations. When a scholar of Sunnah makes a mistake, he gets one reward. The problem with SPUBS and co is the blind following that takes place. I don't know of Sunni's blind following Shaiks Bin Baaz or al-Albaani, who are far more senior than al-Madhkali, yet these people claim to do so. They have actually brought harm to the scholar Shaikh al-Madkhali with their approach and therefore the Salafi Dawah in the west is quite weak, turning people away from the Sunnah.
