I've been composting everything at home and started using products from Dr Greenthumbs to make my own supersoil potting mix. I use perlite too as it creates a nice light free draining mix. Prices are great. The staff at the shop are awesome too. 👌

I've had huge success growing beans, cherry tomatoes, zuchhinni and chillis but id love to see that thing full of potatoes. There a sure fire way to get your hands dirty at harvest time!!! Thats been my greatest achievement so far. Also how long can you store your compost tea after brewing without killing off all the microbes and good stuff?

Sending some love from America! I stumbled on your videos and wanted to see what you were preaching and preach the word brother, adding some worms (red wigglers) to the mix would be a nice cherry on top, top it off with a nice and simple 12 seed cover crop, I use one locally that consists of Flax - Carter, Clover - Yellow Sweet ,Clover - White Dutch, Clover - Medium Red, Clover - Crimson, Lentils - Indianhead, Millet - White Proso,Vetch - Hairy,Vetch - Common,Cowpeas - Red Ripper,Buckwheat - Mancan,Pea - Forage and seems to do the trick but of course use what you have that local. Helps protect the worms and allows them to have a little extra something to nibble on Awesome content brother!

Thanks so much Mike!! We've had this bed going for a few seasons now, there's so many worms and bugs already in the system but that's a great idea, it could definitely do with a fresh release of wrigglers and springtails! I wish time was on our side regarding the cover crop! I've since added some nice dichondra plants to the bed to help while the nasturtiums get a foot hold! Do you guys use dichondra over there?

@@DrGreenthumbs-onlinestore I have not heard of that so it maybe great "future" content to share some knowledge, but I'm gonna need to look into it. I am a new organic grower and have been doing this for a couple years and still amazed that how simple and effective this is. Feed the soil not the plants crazy eh?

I recommend Jalapeno peppers. Smallish (about two inches) but thick flesh and the best tasting pepper ever. Most aren't hot and the plants grow easily with lots of fruit. I buy the seeds from Bunnings.

@@DrGreenthumbs-onlinestore yeah would love to see how they go in that bed, also got a question about the root roids and fruit roids I used root roids 4 days ago then sadly had to do a flush the next day should I still give fruit roids now or give another root roids first and wait cheers for the reply Scott and loving all the products work wonders

Jalapeno grow really well and are probably the best tasting pepper imo. I just buy the seeds Bunnings sell and about one in 8 peppers is hot and the rest like capsicum but better tasting.

Seriously, just invest in a hydroponics system. It's cheaper. Especially for fruit sand vegetables. Quit being scammed people.
