Great find and story about this old farm! I had photographed some of the farms in the area, but I did not see the one in this video. However, I did manage to photograph a couple of old farms with ACO silos.

Very good video and thank you for doing it. Excellent story. It's too bad because it's a nice barn and once the roof goes it doesn't take long for everything else to go south

Wouldn't be nice to see that dairy operation in its' heyday?

What a sorry mess it is today. Had they just put a steel roof on the building back in the 50’s or 60’s , it would still be in good condition

Too bad the barn has fallen apart. I know it would cost so much to restore a beautiful barn like that. Would love to see an old barn such as that one or others that they still milk cows in or raise livestock.

I have a warehouse not too far from there that is made out of the same kind of brick.

Looks very close to the barn on my farm but this one has redish brick about ten foot walls then the the top is wood. We covered it in tin in 2011. There were 3 or 4 windows up top on each side and 3 cupolas but didn't have enough money at the time to redo them, I would like to get some made and put up also have windows put back in. It was built 1918 1919 I have the blue prints that say how much of everything used. I am in lyon county minnesota

Such a shame to see this showplace dairy barn slowly depreciate into ruin.

It's to bad he didn't have the Amish 30 years ago put cross boards on the roof and sheeting on .I did that to the centennial barn on my family farm 20 years a go 40 buy 80 $7,500 to do it best investment I ever made to preserve the heritage
