Thank you for all your hard work Dr Younger! These studies are truly amazing for someone who suffers because it validates our illness in a medical world that widely dismisses us, infantilises us, and it gives us hope for the future. Fantastic work :)

I wish I could be in your larger study. I'm 75 minutes away, but I'm now in the severe category and cannot travel so far so frequently. When I called about being in your 1st study, I think I was disqualified because I was not willing to come off of NSAIDs. The pain is too constant and too severe. We are all hanging on this research. Is there a newsletter or other way to get information in a timely fashion? Are there any other medical professionals in the entire state of Alabama who know about ME and are willing to participate or treat patients? My PCP has been wonderful about letting me take any test I request, but she will not give me a diagnosis. As with many ME patients, all my tests have come out negative. But I have never had an MRS or a PET. Thank you a million times for your work. It is critically important. I'm 62 and hope that I don't die without an official diagnosis or any hope of treatment. People all over the world are hoping or official diagnosis and effective treatment.

Omg. I so want to have these tests & scans done. : ( I need to know what is happening. I really need validation. I am in KY and I have given up on doctors. They will not run anything besides basic tests... They refuse even a MRI .... Idk my story is so long....

Yes he’s great! Which is rare for a psychologist. Jarred Younger is one of the few who bothered to listen to patients and realised ME/CFS is a biological disease.

I’ve noticed I feel a little better when I take zopiclone (a sleeping pill) but I can’t take it in the morning, obviously

I notice similar effects. I take my sleep meds at night and feel them kick in and for about half an hour the brain fog etc is gone or greatly reduced, then i fall asleep. I think any type of sedative or downer probably reduces neuroinflammation or atleast masks it. Even some anticonvulsant meds like lyrica etc seem to help??? Another thing i noticed a few years back when i had surgery on my knee, my brain felt great for about 2 days and i think being heavily sedated for surgery probably switched off my brain enough to calm down neuroinflammation.
