You said a word about the motor and you didn't give any recommendations 😢. I figured the same set up as the shovel nose. 1/8" flex cable, 450 3000kv outrunner motor and 40a esc, no water cooling. Does that sound right

That's exactly what I recommend. On 2S you can go up to something like an X632 (maximum), on 3S, I wouldn't want anything more than an X430.

Awesome build and would be a great kit to build. I just built my first shrimp boat outrigger but lost flex shaft, bushing and prop. Do you know where to buy flex shafts and bushings ect. Thank you kindly, my maiden was a whole 30 seconds long... lol!

Steve at Offshore Electrics is a good source for such parts. The Shrimp uses really common and readily-available hardware that can also be found on eBay and Amazon with a basic search.

Hey Doc, what are the length and beam measurements on the 1/20 scale Short Circuit hydro? Also is it posabl to get the Doug cambell 1/12 scal version of the Sort Circuit? Beautiful boats!!!!!!! Thanks in advance.

The 1:20 SC is 18" long and about 7-3/4" beam. YMMV. The Doug Campbell 1/12 scale hydros have been out of production for nearly a decade, but I know where you might be able to find one. Send me a note and I'll see if I can track it down..... We're talking unicorns here so it's not 100% certain.

​@Dr_Jet Hey Doc is it possible to up scale the 1/20th plans up to a 1/12 th scale boat? Thought I'd ask, if not I may be interested in two of your 1/20 th kits, short circuit. And of course if no one else is going to claim a kit, I under stand not wanting to go through the hassle. And on a little side note, what paint and clear coats did you use on the mini Miss Budweiser Hydro. Thanks in advance.
