What makes you say that? There are more hospitals, charity workers, and educational leaps associated with Christianity than any other group of people, including atheism. It's only relatively recently that science was anti-Christian. Almost all pre-modern science discoveries were made by Christians. Quite a few of today's scientists are believers, though they keep a low profile. Atheists are so intolerant and bigoted these days. Besides, your opinion means nothing to God. Instead of making his audience leave with a bad taste, he gave them something to think about when faced with similar issues. What he did after that is resolved I don't know, but he engaged the audience attention so they won't walk out and miss his message. You tell me what would you do in this situation? You want to bring the message across but the enemy set up obstacles to frustrate you from getting it across, how you respond says a lot about you will you lose the people's attention or have them more interested. *I had yet come to Christ when I hired a body shop to repair my car after a car accident. After 2 weeks the car was still not ready and I went down to talk to the shop manager. I raised my voice in exasperation as I needed my vehicle. He could have cared less and screaming at me now, pretty much told me if I didn't like it (pointing to the door) there it was. I could have done a number of things but instead walked outside and attempted to phone his boss (cell phone was a small brick). After not reaching anyone I hung up and just stood there. The sun rays literally cooking me alive and me drenched in sweat. After a few seconds, I looked back at the body shop, looked at the ground, then broke out in a quiet laugh. I could not stop smiling and I remember telling myself "one day, probably many years from now, you'll remember this day and have a good laugh." True story. I still think back to that hot day and laugh about it. Even, many years later.*
