Martial arts were created independently in multiple locations, wherever they were required. Sometimes they may have had influences from nearby cultures, but more often not.

It makes sense that martial arts originated in African since that is where humanity originated. It means that people have been studying unarmed combat in various forms and ways since the dawn of mankind. These videos are so cool and fascinating because I see it reflected in so many other combative styles.
