I'm a bit confused since I haven't seen the whole episodes. Is he really being manipulative with patrick and being cruel about his work or is he actually just doing his job (which sometimes means suggest firing people)?

there is no clear sign for him using Patrick yet, but he's hired for analysing the clinic's finance and probably fire people and change things in the hospital. But Patrick isn't even directly involved in the hospital so I don't see a point in seducing him for info

@@gmoo84 ... that´s a given, esp. when Chris is allready keeping secrets from Patrick about his involvement in the restructuring of the hospital when he sees Valy at his restaurant ... he hides her file quickly before anyone can ask about it ... leaves the question: why did he bring it there anyways?

gmoo84, from my point of view he doesn´t have to be particularly cruel ... but for someone in his line of work it is necessary not to care about others to a huge extend ... someone like that would never be right for gentle and caring Patrick I´m afraid!
