Hi, I had a lip lift two days ago, the doctor didnt prescribe me antibiotic pills nor antibiotic ointment, I was afraid of the possibility of infection so for the last couple of days I have been spraying a lot with rubbing alcohol, but then I read that is not good for the wound healing. The doctor also told me to keep the tape he put on it for five days, so I cannot see how the wound is healing underneath. Would I be able to tell if there was sign of infection even with the tape on? Is there anything I can do to limit the possibility for this? Which day of healing do you think I would be out of the woods infection-wise? I just want a second opinion, thank you!

How soon you can eat normal food?

This depends on the individual. A majority of patients can resume normal foods 2 weeks after surgery.
