Nigerians weren't having a president when Nkrumah first officially visited Nigeria ! The fear of Nkrumah's Independent Ghana, prompted the British to handover political power to the Nigerians. Long Live Nkrumah !

At this time Nigerians adored Ghana for what we have achieved. There was no rivalry at the time yet. How times have changed.

Zik helped you gain independence. Without Zik who started political activism in Ghana(Gold Coast), brought Nkrumah out from the seminary and later sent him to Lincoln University, Nkrumah would have ended up as a priest. He said it himself. And Ghana would have got independence sometime in the 70s. Show respect

@@blackstar5056 I can give you a few legacies of the Zik of Africa; 1. He established the first newspaper owned by an African in then Gold Coast, The African Morning post, 1937 2. He led the political activism in the Gold Coast, Nigeria and Sierra Leon in the 1930s 3. In 1937, Zik was standing trial in Accra for opposing the sedition law of the colonialists in Gold coast 4. in 1936, Nkrumah, then a seminary school teacher that was headed to priesthood , attended one of Ziks rallies and heard Zik speak. Nkrumah changed his mind right away and joined Zik's political activism in Gold coast. Luckily for him, Zik noticed him, liked him and began to mentor him. 5. In 1938, Zik helped him get into Lincoln University. When Nkrumah did not pass the entrance exam, Zik used his influence as a former renowned lecturer in the school to secure the admission for Nkrumah 6. Zik is known as the Zik of Africa because he led political activism in most part of Africa 7. Nkrumah adored him as his mentor and his father in politics

I do not think that the rivalry btwn Nigeria and Ghana is deep. It is based on the same ignorance that creates shallow competition between the different ethnic group in Africa. But at the end of the day, we are all brothers and sister. We are all one African divided by fictional lines

Rather where will Ghana be without the Zik of Africa and where will Ghana be without the economic and political support of Nigeria since after Independence Zik gave Ghana independence; Nkrumah was a political disciple of Zik.

@@takyiyaw4483 That's why you bunch of uneducated, miseducated and misled Ghanaians should keep quiet and be humble sometimes. But nah, you're released like bees on the internet to make big and ridiculous claims about things you know nothing about. Tell me how someone in W Africa, even Africa as a whole doesn't know about Zik of Africa, from Nigeria? You say Ghana education is great, and they didn't even teach you about Ghana's independence movements. In Nigeria, students learn about African kingdoms and independence movements at the secondary school level? This ignorance disease and culture is part of the reason Ghanaians keep shouting everywhere and claiming Afrobeat(s) you knew nothing about it's origin, claiming ownership of Jollof rice just because you heard someone say they like Nigerian Jollof rice even when Jollof rice originated from SeneGambia. And the list is endless.
