DON'T PUT THESE UP UNLESS WE CAN SEE THE END RESULTS

I want to see not just how she looks, but how this lovely woman feels about it. Other than the bump, the mark has been part of her. Has she been okay with it because there's been nothing possible to remove it, or will having it gone be a happy thing? I think as beautiful and confident as she is, she'll be happy with the outcome.😊

Looks like a hemangioma. I also get them with my port wine stain. Mine bleed like crazy at the slightest touch.

Yes my daughter had 11 hemangiomas when she was born, from head to toe. She has surgery and the rest disappeared.

I do, too, and after 11 laser treatments, I get less bleeders, but they still happen.

If I hadn't heard the woman say she was 31 years old, I would have guessed she was closer to 21 years old. I do hope the lazer surgery works for her.

I found a post on Dr. Lee's Instagram which looks like it's showing the bump greatly reduced and not angry red. Unfortunately, I can't post a link or YT will smack my hand and delete the post. From the IG post, it looks like this was spread over two episodes. Probably Dr. Lee's office first then Dr. Ortiz's office on the second. There are several articles as well, but, again, you'll have to do your own searching. They're not very hard to find.

I usually like what dr lee does but this time i feel like they focused on the wrong thing, she just just wanted the bump addressed not the birthmark, i feel like they pressured her to remove it
@Wheelieblue3 ай бұрын
Yes definitely thought the same, hopefully it was just poor editing.
@kat2743-s7p3 ай бұрын
They are removing it because Dr Lee said they can worsen and get bumpier over time. The girl doesn't want that.
@uldeanse3 ай бұрын
they said the birthmark is what causes the bumps so they're addressing the birthmark first, and bump will be the last step
@jacquelinefolden10173 ай бұрын
They are also talking about taking care of the bleeding that's happening with it
@karaalbrecht514620 күн бұрын
The bump is not a separate thing, it is part of the birthmark, and the birthmark is an overgrowth of blood vessels. Those vessels continue to grow and bleeding becomes more of a risk. To be clear the bleeding is not what most people would think. They bleed a lot and are tough to get them to stop. How do I know? I've had two types of vascular birthmarks treated. One one my lip that was a malignant form and a port wine one that covered my neck and lower face on one side. The one on my lip was surgically excised and cauterize (and might come back). The port wine one I had 11 laser treatments on which left it much smaller, but it still continues to change and occasionally bleed as vessels surface close enough to take just a bump to open.

Seems to me that they missed the mark here. (figuratively, not literally) I got the impression that the birthmark only started to bother her because of the bump. The bump was the big issue that she was wanting to get rid of and they completely disregarded that and focused on the port wine stain..
@karaalbrecht514620 күн бұрын
The bump is part of the birthmark. It's a hemangioma. The birthmark is an overgrowth of vessels and the bump is just one that has come to the surface enough to bulge out and fragile enough to pop open with the slightest bump. Port wine stains change as you age and bleeders pop up more often. By treating the birthmark, they are preventing more from happening and/or get bigger. The big one they can probably only reduce enough to not be as much of an issue.

bruh wtf...she repeatedly stated over and over that she actually liked the stain and only wanted to get rid of the mole/bump (which takes 5 minutes max to fully remove). and instead they pushed forward with trying to remove the stain because that's the only interesting content that they can get out of this situation

There are concerns with the changes taking place from the Birthmark. Shes still young & it’s better Medically to resolve the issues now to stop other issues like the bump from developing.
@R0DSTER3 ай бұрын
@@ShellL 1) there are what concerns? 2) what changes are taking place?...a random bump appeared 2-3 years ago...3) what "other issues" do expect could develop?

In past patients she has shown how the entire Portwine area can become covered in bleeding bumps and continue spreading as you age.

It hurts like crazy to remove, and takes a long time for results. I have it on 25% of my body. I had seizures, clots. Not trying to scare you. If you stay ahead if it and do not take hormones you will likely do great. Not a doctor, I just know this inside out. See Boston Children's VAC, they review cases free of charge by mail if you are concerned. They saved me.

I had a similar type of 'bump' on my chest when I was about 13 years old. I was told later that it was a blood vessel that had pushed up thru the skin. Mine didn't bleed, but it looked like a small mushroom. Doctor cut it off and closed it with just 2 stitches, hopefully her bump can be treated as simply or even better.

Everybody wanted to see the bump gone. The patient, us, the viewers, yeah, get rid of the bump. Video: Long talking, laser therapy for the birthmark nobody minded in the first place. Bump still there. Patient's first question is about the bump, heck my first question was the same. One short take with the patient bump already removed. The end. Don't watch.
@karaalbrecht514620 күн бұрын
The bump is part of the birthmark. It's a hemangioma. The bump is a vessel that has enlarged and surfaced. They get really fragile and bleed easily with the bleeding hard to stop. You get more as you age, not less unless the whole thing gets treated.
