Hey Lovelies!!
I am excited to share this product review with you. The Dr. Locs product line was recommended to me by a friend after I asked her how she keeps her locs so hydrated.
My loc journey began 09/22/2018 and I've been loving it ever since (even during the so called "ugly phase"). For the first year or so, my hairstylist maintained my locs. Once we entered 2020 and the salons shut down, I had to learn how to maintain my own hair,
During our weeks in lockdown, I learned how to retwist my own hair. I would get my mom to help me with the back for a while until I eventually started doing my own head.
Everyone knows, doing hair is not my specialty. Almost every member on both sides of my family were blessed with the gift of hair styling but it somehow skipped over me...lol
Practice makes perfect though, right? I'm still not perfect at it, but I've gotten pretty good. I was still struggling to find some products that worked well and are specifically made for locs. For a long time, I'd been using the same products I used as a loose natural but it wasn't giving what I feel it should give.
Once I heard about Dr. Locs products, I did some searching on Instagram and discovered that they are locally based here in Atlanta. Instead of ordering online, I decided to go pick some up at The Village Market Retail at Ponce City Market.
In this video, not only do I review four of there products, I am also taking you along with me as I wash, retwist and style my hair.
I'm proud of the growth I've had in my loc journey, literally and figuratively. Not only am I outchea serving inches, I am learning and connecting with the nourishment and care of my beautiful locs.

Thank you! I really appreciate that. Swimming lessons are awesome! I’m going to post a video about our progress in a couple of weeks. Me and my mom are doing them together and we are 33 & 55. Our instructor is very patient and skilled. I told myself I was going to learn in 2020 then put it off when the pandemic began. It’s never too late. You should go for it! 😃
