Dr. Maqsood Ahmed Expressed Gratitude of the UN Secretary-General
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres accompanied by Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was received at Karachi Airport by the senior government officials, including DIG Sindh Police Security & Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed.
Later, DIG Security met the UN Secretary-General and expressed his gratitude to the dignitary for visiting Pakistan in the difficult times, and sharing our message with the world to get their support. A momento was also presented to the UN Secretary General on behalf of Sindh Police by Dr. Maqsood Ahmed.
UN Secretary-General had landed in Pakistan to show solidarity with the people of the country following the destruction caused by this year’s devastating floods. The visiting dignitary was protected by the elite Commandos of Special Security Unit. The SSU is also playing a vital role in providing security to convoys traveling with relief good in Sindh and Balochistan.
