Can I tell you how and on what day the corn god was born?

Mark, I am a big fan of your work. I wanted to ask you something. Do you ever translate a single sentence for a fee? It's for an art project I am working on about the Mayan civilization.

What a beautiful piece you're reviewing. So grateful you must feel to hold it and look at it! (Even if it is a replica) Thank you for posting this and sharing your academic perspective on the meaning of it's details. Much Love from Atlanta, GA!

It is interesting that these glyphs are so similar, but a step is a step. I'm reminded that the head-variant glyphs for "eat" and "drink" each consist of a human head holding in its mouth the glyph of "bread" (WAH) and "water" (HA') respectively. More common is the glyph for Sa(hal) ("subordinate lord"): the same head "eating" the glyph for "earth" (KAB). Cortez tells us that high-ranking nobles showed respect for the emperor by reaching down and eating a bit of dirt.

This is all very beautiful. I would love to read a copy of your book. I think that the Mayan script is very unique, and it's a testament to the ingenuity that all humans possess.

By the way, I think you are referring to the Ballgame portrayed on a hieroglyphic stairway on Temple 33 at Yaxchilan, (HS2, panel 7, I believe), which I portray in my book "2012: Science and Prophecy of the Ancient Maya"... The left half of the text is enclosed in a ballgame-step-shape with a giant ball bouncing down it to the waiting lord.

Very Nice Doc Van Stone, so interesting ! The "stair" glyph next to the footprint looks similar to a Maya Ball Game glyph I think I saw once before somewhere, perhaps in one of Linda Schele's books. Could it be related ? Thank you for sharings these nice videos wuth us

Oh, Spect Tre, As I said in the video, this is a replica, painted by the great Patricia Morales of Muna, Yucatán. She's good, no? ...Although I'd urge you in the future to watch a whole video before responding, I thank you for your respect for indigenous culture.

Good. You know? A NASA scientist recently said on a conference that the Dresden Codex was Inca.... Maybe you can invite this guy to explain all NASA scientists that the Dresden Codex was Maya not Inca..

Technically in ancient Mayan culture, it would be a good thing. LOL.
