I bought my first Dr. Martens a week ago, I wanted a pair since I was 19, I'm now 30. The long wait was totally worth it. As I am still "breaking" the leather they're hurting a little bit, but nothing that a band aid and a pair of thick socks doesn't smooth out! Despite of all that, I'm so in love with my Jadons! They're the best shoes in town

They showed 'punks' dancing alongside 'Jamaicans' to 'Ska' music in a silent reel of white men dancing alone too, and the camera man failed to film the back strap of the boot the guy was showing. All these mockumentaries are haphazardly put together, the message they're selling isn't what you first notice, but the undertone of their political agenda. For Westminster Television it's always multicultural stuff. Imagine how absurd it would be if they made a mockumentary on Jaimaican music and said "They're playing instruments made by Germanic people, they so love the Germanic culture that they only use Germanic instruments, especially the English invention the guitar. Here Jamaicans can be seen dancing alongside English guitars." But they do the same in EVERYTHING to do with Germanic people of western Europe. Because that's their angle. It's just like KZbin can make a $70BN loss each year and Alphabet their parent company is okay with it because it's a small price to pay to control the narrative of 'New-TV' and what people see and think. It's very Orwellian, but more and more people are waking up to the agendas because the companies are so ham fisted in shoving them in there you can't miss it.

I quit wearing them for 2 solid reasons, I am an American not a Brit and British punx and skins wear the English Originals because they are British. But DMs hav thin leather and flimsy non shanked soles. The price is competitive for American boots that will last forever that work just as well in the pit as the do in the woods where DMs these days are fashion boots you may as well wear Prada this hasn’t always been the case and if you buy certain originals aside from the useless bouncing sole are thick leather. The sole is useless because it is hollow I can wear Corcoran boots till the nails fall out of the soles DMs have no nails and you can literally wear through them. Just some thoughts

It’s funny whenever you see a Docs film they only ever show they factory in the UK, most sadly are made in China and other Far East countries and having owned both I would only ever have the British made ones, the leather is much better quality as is the insole. I don’t know what they use in the China made ones but I have never had a pair that the leather has not cracked and insole dissolved within a year. In fact, I actually don’t buy Docs anymore and spend a little more and get the much higher quality Solovairs.

Hi! Westminster Television. How are you? I start wearing Doc Martens since I was teenager back in 80s - 1994. In 1994 I was my early 20s. I did own 7 pairs of Dr. Martens, around that time I came Mod. Dr. Martens help my feet lot, Dr. Martens is very comfortable for my feet's. I have feet problems, my Doctor told me Dr. Martens is best for my feet's. I wear Dr. Martens for my feet problems, for fashion, music too. I will be buying Dr. Martens, it is British size, I only buy Dr. Martens make from England. I like this Documentary lot. I am part of Mod cultural. I like tour Dr. Martens see where they make it. It's like walking on air, great dancing foot wear. I wear Dr. Martens where I go all time, I am back into Mod fashion. I do dance to SKA wearing Dr. Martens. I can stand one place very long time wearing Dr. Martens. In 80s I know Original Skinheads listen to SKA, Rude boys, Rude Girls, Punks, Mods in Ontario Canada, I was friends all these Subcultural. I have been to Dr. Martens location at Camden Stables Market in Camden Town London, UK. I have shoe size, boot sizes too like 3 holes, 4 holes, 8 holes, 10 holes, 20 holes, steel toes, shine glass style, 10 holes with Union Jack flag Right now I have 8 holes Dr. Martens. I still dance wearing Dr. Martens like SKA. I am back into Mod fashion.

I've always found it hilariously bizarre, that the anarchists and punk culture, both of which spit on the oppressive concept of capitalism, were so particular about which brands they wore XD 'Yeah mate, you can oppose the system with us, you just have to wear EXACTLY the same as we do. And shave your head while you're at it!'

I've got a question I hope someone will be able to help me with even if it's 2 years from now. I bought a pair of Docs in 1991 when I believe they were all still Made In England but mine had the MIE stamped into the rubber so I know mine were. My question is that although I believe I had the 1460 style they were different than the ones any of my friends ever ended up owning in 2 ways. 1st instead of smooth, shiny, greasy or whatever you want to call them, mine were a scuffed black similar to suede. The 2nd difference was I had a distinctly different tread than any pair anyone else I knew or even ever saw in media at the time or since. My pair had the pattern on the left at 0:58 in the video which meant I had MUCH better traction walking in the rain/snow than my friends. Can anyone help me out if they know the name/style I had? I'd like to find a pair exactly like those that are MIE for my daughter for the upcoming Yule season. Thanks in advance for reading and hopefully someone will have an answer for me.

We were designed without shoes. I think if we would have walked barefoot most of our lives, our feet would resist most environments. except for snow and ICE. Most people in third world countries have feet that are resistant to cuts, rocks, branches, etc. that is because they are barefooted 90 percent of the time. I guess after tar, sidewalks, glass, etc were invented we needed shoes to get around. If you go to certain islands, lots of people are without shoes, and are resistant to funguses and have great feet. I think Shoes made things worse for men. Our own feet have the best grips in the world, FootPrints on bottom grip like no other shoes can. This is why most people can run faster barefooted than with shoes or sneakers. Humans have Amazing Feet. Too bad, I am not willing to go barefoot in NYC LOL.

Martens only looked good on punks and rockers in my opinion. Now a days everyone and their moms are wearing them and some people just don't look good in them.

Dr Martens vegan shoes are bad quality ! I buy Dr Martens shoes since the 80's and it lasted 10 years. Now those shoes are disposables after 6 months of use... Thank to the stupid fashion and brainless lobbyists... An old customer disappointed.

Crucifux Records All doc martens today are shit quality from the research I’ve done. It isn’t the vegan line specifically. The word is that if you want a DM boot with the quality they used to have that lasts, buy the Solovair brand boot, which was mentioned in this video briefly. They used to make DM under license for eons until 1995, and they still have the same shop in England with the exact machinery that made the DMs. They look identical, with the only exception being the thread color and the tab color.

It's funny how this doc acts sort of as anti-skinhead propaganda when nobody would even be talking about doc martens without the skinhead association. They made your boots famous. Get over it.

It's weird. Do these mockumentaries when talking about Jamaican music say "They're playing instruments made by Germanic people, they so love the Germanic culture that they only use Germanic instruments, especially the English invention the guitar. Here Jamaicans can be seen dancing alongside English guitars." ... ? Do these people pushing their multiculty agenda realise how fucking weird it sounds shoving it into everything? It's so absurd.
