Dr.Cunningham is marvelous. Doesn't it say in the Old Testament that the savior would be born of a " young woman" (alma), and not a "virgin" ?

Neil Hasid modern Hebrew has tried to tamp down messianic references. The Septuagint (Greek) was used at the time of Christ (finding the Dead Sea Scrolls proved that Hebrew wasn’t the translation of the day!) In Isaiah 7, the almah is already pregnant, and modern Jewish translators have therefore rendered almah here as "young woman". The Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Bible, which was completed in the late 2nd century BCE, translated almah into Greek as παρθένος (parthenos), which generally means "virgin".
