Very true. I'm 45, vegan, perfect blood work, no meds, BMI 25. Bodyweight exercises only. Almost everyone I know my age that is not vegan (or unless they are high-performing athletes) are suffering from some diet-induced disease that they are on medication for. It is truly a no brainer.
@valerietomsic84542 жыл бұрын
heh...yep...works for ME too...65 years old ...at my high school weight 115.....take ZERO meds and have ZERO aches/pains.....IF ONLY folks would just TRY this way of eating for 3 weeks! I also DONATE BLOOD every 60 days and have for years! Plant-based since 2012.

So freakin easy! I’ve done keto, IF and a bunch of other diets and the ONLY diet/life style change that’s made a difference is plant based. Lost 15 pounds after just one month! Gotta love it and body feels light as all get out.
@happycook67372 жыл бұрын
My story is similar to yours. Tried every "diet plan" like a yo-yo. Only thing that works for me is minimally processed, whole foods, oil free vegan. On this plan I can relax, eat when hungry, eat until full and weight falls off plus my blood work looks GREAT!

I WILL share this with many bloggers and people I know who struggle now, or have at one time been dissatisfied, with their weight, which is practically my whole family and every non-family person I know. Thank you Dillon, for a great interview that will encourage people [and me] to buy this book and help further Dr Greger's research. It'll be fun seeing you two on your treadmills in the future! Good interview...finally YOU hear that the “little things” we can attempt to incorporate in our diet actually DOES matter! I understand you don’t want to “sweat the small stuff” and simply focus on a WFPB diet, but it is really nice to learn what food/supplements are a good idea for our health. I understand the US population didn’t become obese because the majority don’t eat ground flax seeds or supplement with DHA/EPA, or “sweat the small stuff”; but isn’t it really cool to know what “ideal” nutrition and wellness is?!! So...if you feel inspired by what you’ve learned from Dr. Greger in this brief interview...please incorporate in your future videos😉

Dr. Greger, I have severe UC, on Stelera, failed Tofa, Vedo...etc. My Gi brought in surgeons on last visit and changed me to Stelera. I’m steroid refractory. Diagnosed 2004, quickly went into remission on a tuna diet without meds and that lasted until 3 yrs ago. Now very low carb is not working. Have you used your diet for UC sufferers? I’m going to read it anyway but if you have personal knowledge I would greatly appreciate it! I’m 53 lactose intolerant, asthma diagnosed at 16. On symbacort for that.

Thank u!!!! Good hard questions. And being persistent.. Yes!!! I have the book. I went to the IF fasting section. The humor through out the book is all dr Greger. A merry heart does good like a medicine. So say the scriptures. I was so pleased to read that eating early and then fasting the rest of the day is best. That is what I do with IF 21: 3. It is lifestyle choice. Because i recently found out about an inherited disease I've had to alter or tweek my wfpb lifestyle. So the tweeks are good and practical. And yes a person can be healthy without kale or spinach (one of my favorite vegetables). Lastly i think the hardback cover of the book should have been green.
