I am pretty sure they play up a lot of things like 'teasing' and other reasons ppl use/have for getting surgery when it comes to this show. While the procedures and botches are very real, it is still a television show. I assume they play up the 'reasons' in order to create a bit of a plot behind each story. Otherwise, it would essentially be, 'hi doctor..my nose is crooked'...then you'd get before and after shots. They need a storyline/plot to keep viewers entertained and coming back. Just like the doctors' personalities and human. Sure, they are funny guys...but they probably turn their personalities and playfulness up to 11 for the show.

Her family abused her to the point where she was so distraught that she sought out plastic surgery, which went horribly wrong for her. They have the audacity to gaslight her to the point where she feels guilty about not discussing it beforehand. What Dr Nassif achieved with Norina's rhinoplasty is miraculous what a great doctor and surgeon he is. I an so happy for Norina. I hate 'teasing' to me it is bullying her darned family should have kept their spiteful comments to themselves and what's the betting it hasn't stopped I am glad I don't have a family in which bullying, whoops teasing is the order of the day. If I were Norina I would ditch the family

What really floors me is, even after knowing how much the teasing hurt her, her family (a) insists it wasn't serious and (b) continues teasing her. This poor woman just wanted to escape the emotional damage done, when she looked perfect before. I'm glad they managed to help her.

I also grew up being teased about my nose. I would get “are you eating a banana or is that your nose” “are you playing the flute or is that your nose” fortunately for me I couldn’t afford a nose job. When I finally could, I was lucky to meet the right surgeon, he told me he wouldn’t touch my face, that I was beautiful the way I was. I was shocked, he was turning down money, but… I didn’t look for another surgeon. I guess I grew into my nose…
