It was very strange that he forgot the great bowler Dennis Lillee. I think Dennis Lillee & Marshall were the best bowler ever seen in cricket, especially when they were at their peak.

Marshall and Wasim were probably most complete fast bowlers. Waqar to me was the best strike bowler ever. While in terms of accuracy it was McGrath and Hadlee. The rest can be grouped into a group of around 20. From Imran to the WI & SAF greats.

I am Indian but for me Wasim Akram was the most effective fast bowler the world has ever seen closely followed by Malcolm Marshall,Curtly Ambrose,JoelGarner. Lillie,Holding,Roberts,McGrath comprise the next level. Jasprit Bumrah hasn't reached that level yet but he is right on track. Let's see what he achieves next 5 years. Leaving out Dale Steyn from this august company has pained me immensely. I have closely followed all these bowlers live either in ground or TV last 50 years.

@@danielmathew7768 You seem to have overlooked the adjective. My estimation wasn't greatness but most effective. Which approximately and simply means to produce wicket on demand in international matches be it tests, ODI. Majority of bowlers didn't play T20 Internationals.

Then come the journalists. Which journalists? Those that are paid by their employers or those that are running their independent KZbin channels. The former have hardly any latitude and time to investigate. The latter having their independent KZbin channels, are the ones making millions just because of their viewership. Since u asked Dr Nauman about his playing 11. Here is mine - My All Time Test and ODI XI - NOTE : maximum 4 players from each country so that it won't get biased. Test XI - 1. Virendra Sehwag 2. Matthew Hayden 3. Brian Lara 4. Sachin Tendulkar 5. Jacques Kallis 6. Adam Gilchrist (wk) 7. Ravindra Jadeja* 8. Wasim Akram 9. Shane Warne 10. Glenn McGrath 11. Dale Steyn *Took Jadeja bcos I'm making all time 11, not list of best players. so I have gone for Jadeja bcos I need a player who is bowling all rounder, someone who is a fantastic spinner & can support Warne and can do a lot of spin bowling alongside Warne as well as can bat & stay at crease when needed. And Jadeja who has 300 Test wickets at avg of 24 with SR of 57 and also he has 5 Test centuries & 21 test fifties with an average of 37 as batsman and by the way Jadeja has also scored three triple centuries in first class cricket with 15 hundreds and 40 fifties with highest first class score being 340, so the guy knows how to bat and stay at crease. So Jadeja fits perfectly in the role which I need as he is a very good spin bowler and a fine batsman. And also he is an extremely great fielder which is a bonus point. Batting depth till no. 8 as even Wasim Akram can score some runs. Total bowlers = 8 (5 full time bowler + 3 part timers) with 4 pacers + 4 spinners. 4 Pacers = Kallis, McGrath, Steyn & Akram. 4 Spinners = Jadeja, Warne, Sachin & Sehwag ODI XI - 1. Sachin Tendulkar 2. Sanath Jayasuriya 3. Virat Kohli 4. Ricky Ponting 5. Yuvraj Singh 6. Lance Klusner 7. MS Dhoni (wk) 8. Wasim Akram 9. Muralitharan 10. Glenn McGrath 11. Brett Lee Batting depth till no. 8 as even Wasim Akram can score some runs. Total bowlers = 8 (4 full time bowler + 4 part timers) with 4 pacers + 4 spinners. 4 Pacers = Klusner, McGrath, Lee & Akram. 4 Spinners = Sachin, Jayasuriya, Muralitharan & Yuvraj. And If u want Rauf Klasra and Dr Nauman, then I can discuss each player why I went for them. Bcos there is a reason why I have gone for each specific player
