Excellent information here! I've had pain that is nearly crippling in both legs for years due to having Ehlers Danlos and I haven't been able to get much relief from the opioids I've been on for many years. Since a recent move to a new state, I'm going to a new pain doctor who is also a neurologist, then my new rheumatologist is an immunologist or specialist is allergies. I have high hopes these new doctors will be able to help more with their additional specialist areas. Is there anyone else with EDS who can give feedback on treatment that has helped? The muscles mentioned here where I have pain and lots of knots, is my hip and gluteus muscle area, pain in shoulders into the thoracic area back pain and down my arms through my deltoids. What I've been told is that I have tendinitis at the rotary cuff, elbows, de quervens tensovinitis, and more. This is a small part of the pain yet the worst pains I have are in these areas. For now I'll be inquiring on the LDN with my other medications. Has anyone received relief by adding the LDN? I've done dry needling, physical therapy with myofacial trigger point release massage and so on. I feel I've done all I've been offered...

Have you found any pain relief? There is EDS in my family. What works for our pain is variable. Some use cbd creams, some apply heat, some apply cold

@@TheAngelaoddone The EDS he is talking about here, type 3 can NOT be diagnosed by a geneticist. It is the most common type and does not currently have a single gene marker known. The first step for anyone suspecting a diagnosis is to get a referral to a rheumatologist. The rheumatologist will ONLY refer you to a geneticist if they suspect you of having one types of EDS that does have gene markers. But since most people are type 3 no referral will be made. The diagnosis will be made from joint flexibility and other clinical signs alone.

I’m looking for a good dr that specializes in EDS. I’ve had trouble finding a rheumatologist that treats EDS. North Texas or Southern OK??
