We didn't have to memorize any of the definitions of the formulas and every friday the teacher would hand out the tests, tell us we had 30 minutes then leave the class and lock us in. For the 1st month she moved one of the football players around from desk to desk and when a girl asked why she kept moving him the teacher told her it was because he talked too much. The boy was quiet. He finally got moved behind me and when the teacher left the class that friday a big paw grabbed my shoulder and pushed me to the side and I went "oh, i get it." After football season was over he was allowed to sit wherever he wanted. I guess he got a B like me up to that point.
