I went to The Netherlands for the first time last week and I did the following things that are shown in this video: Drank Heineken (and Grolsch and Texels) Looked at cows Took a picture next to a windmill Went to a cheese shop in Edam and sampled and purchased cheese Tried raw herring with onions and pickles Got krokets, frikandellen and Kaassoufflés from a FEBO automat Tried stroopwafel Had hagelslag for breakfast (buttered bread with De Ruijter chocolate sprinkles) Walked through downtown Amsterdam and the red light district at night From this video it sounds like I had a pretty good introduction to Dutch culture. I also went to a hardcore event during my trip but that was in Germany (Syndicate) not the Netherlands. Next time I'll go to a festival in Holland! Much love from the US!
