Acts 2:38 doesn't mention salvation. The Bible plan of salvation is Romans 5:8, 10:9-11, 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, Isaiah 55:7, Ezekiel 33:11, Acts 20:21, and Mark 1:15. Repentance and Faith in Christ's finished work on the Cross and Resurrection. No baptismal regeneration or works needed.

One is a WORK OF YOUR OWN GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF YOUR FAITH OR OBEDIENCE TO GOD. Ask God to give you real understanding according to his word. First of all, please show me a scripture stating that it's not by ANY WORKS! You believe MAN_MADE STUFF! Jesus himself wouldn't have mentioned Mark 16:16, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. How about John 3:5, Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Why did God give me the same thing they received in Acts if I'm teaching it wrong? Have you received it yet? God told Noah to build an ark to save him, but there was something he had to do. OBEY GOD! NOT JUST BELIEVE. He believed what God said and then he WORKED OR OBEYED GOD AND STARTED BUILDING THE ARK. Lot had to do something to be saved. He had to leave Sodom. Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. Now if one is saved when they first believe, then why this scripture?

Phil isn't a Mason. I met him several times at his meetings back when I was in Bible college. He's definitely a different brand of Baptist preacher in many aspects and not one that I tend to run with, but he's not a Mason or anything sinister. Why would God the Holy Ghost lead you to say such a thing and distract away from the preaching of Hell to reach the lost? Only the Devil would distract from salvation from sin and Hell.

Which “Hell” is this preacher speaking of. Sheol.? Hades.? Gehenna.? The English word Hell is translated to 3 different Greek words. 1 in the Old Testament Hebrew. NONE of them mean A Literal Burning Place of fire. Stop the False teaching, and out of context preaching! Jesus is the Savior of ALL MEN, Especially of those who Believe. 1 Timothy 4:10. “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. “ 1st Corinthians 15:22 I encourage you to search the scriptures on a Deeper level brother. You must ask yourself, did Jesus Die to take away the sins of the world.? Or just a few.? Is Jesus the savior of the world like the Bible teaches.? Or just a Potential savior that ends up being a FAILURE.

Jesus Christ is the Saviour for all men but that doesn't mean all men are saved. Unlike calvinism likes to teach, God gives man free will to accept God's free gift of salvation by admitting your a sinner that comes short of the glory of God, beilieving Jesus died on the cross for you sins, was buried and rose on the third day. Romans 10:13 for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. If you never put your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation He will say he never knew you. Matthew 8:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
