It does nothing to show there was no gap between Genesis 1:1 “And” Genesis 1:2. There is certainly a gap - Job 38:4-7.

@@dr.johnwheeler6581 Génesis 1:1 says he created the earth. Genesis 1:10 provides details. Either way, the gap theory is defeated by the fact that the earth was created as part of a six day creation. The English is not even a little bit hard to understand on this. He created earth in Genesis 1:1. Exodus 20:11 says that heaven and earth and all that therein is were created in six days-All means all.

I simply matched up heaven (firmament), earth (dry land), and sea with corresponding verses inside the actual six days without changing a word (just matching up word by word to Exodus 20:11. So for me that verse does not close the door on the gap at all or invalidate the verses that show there is one. You are welcome to read it that way if you like. God bless.

@@troydrury12 You didn't account for Ezekiel 28:11-19 or Isaiah 14:13-14. Only Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden. That means that the Ezekiel passage must be Satan, because Adam and Eve had children after they were expelled from the garden. Secondly, Satan was astonished that the glory of God could be were he was cast, which is into outer darkness. This is confirmed in the first verse of John's gospel when he says that "darkness comprehended it not". Thirdly, sin exists in the garden of Eden before Adam and Eve touch the forbidden tree, for the serpent calls God a liar. You see, sin starts at the highest place in the original creation, when Lucifer was anointed by the Holy Spirit and was given the job as governor and protector of the creation. That is what the title, "covering cherub" means. You will also notice that there is a host of heaven mentioned in Job concerning the creation. That word "host" means an army arrayed for battle. Someone is already against God and armies are needed. The firmament is the complete atmosphere that protects the Earth and the sky around it. God had to recreate it along with the Earth because it was judged by a baptism because of Lucifers fall. The whole thing was decimated and the result was that the Earth was without form and void. Void means empty, and the inhabitants were either destroyed or cast out. The word "darkness" in verse two is only in the OT twice, and it means death, destruction, misery, and chaos. If you go study what I wrote about you will see that there is indeed a gap in between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Time started when Lucifer fell, and death because of separation from God. Sin begins time, and in Revelation when God finishes his judgement of sin for good, there is no more time. You now know more than every theoretical physicist and astronomer that ever lived concerning why they can't date and understand origins accurately. That's nothing! The video equiptment that most guys used (Treasure Valley) was not HALF as good as a modern day iPhone video. Many dumbells took video of Dr Ruckman with VHS-C or the lowest grade of 8 recording camera. AND THEY HAD THE MONEY TO BUY A BETTER CAMERA.

One of the things I disagree on with Doc is " flesh joining flesh being a marriage." It's not. The verse he's using is Paul saying we, the church, shouldn go to the world and join ourselves them. They were going to the world's court system instead of judging themselves in church. If it is a marriage than someone please explain how/why God told Abraham to get rid of Hagar ( his wife ) and his son. Sarah said take her to thee for a wife . God said not to put away your wife.

All I meant, as it's drawn, it is very akin to how the flat earth model also might be drawn out (but the understanding would be different, i.e., it would be without outer space, the globe earth, etc).

Flat Earth is foolishness. The only thing that is important is that you know that Jesus Christ is or Lord and Savior, but to think that the Earth is the only non-circular celestial body is silly. To discount every photograph that has been taken by every country, during high altitude training expeditions, from Gemini IV and VII, and from X-15 plus all Russian missions, that's pretty weak. Up and down on a sphere is simply the center or atmosphere, not any deeper than that. What you will do is destroy your credibility pushing that belief.

You see, God exists outside of time, space, and matter. He is not subject to time, He is not made of matter, He is not bound by space. Look at it this way. The first verse is a statement on what God did. The second verse stands out from the first because it gives a record of the condition of the earth God created being now at that time without form and void which is not a creation goal. He formed it beautifully initially. The following verses God is restoring the earth and when Adam was made he was commanded to replenish. God restored and Adam was to replenish. Notice the "LET THERE BE" statements are permissive commands. He said "let the dry land appear," not let there be dry land. It was already there. God executed judgement and was now visiting the earth to finish what he started. There is no recorded creation of water. It was there but all over the place that's why he separated it and there is some on the earth surface where we live and there is water above the crystal or celestial dome covering the earth that is called a firmament which Job described to be hard as a looking glass. God sits upon the circle of the earth looking from his throne on us all and there is a rainbow behind his throne which we see from time to time and there is water in that part of heaven also. Just a heads up, NASA by definition means to deceive and there is a forked serpent tongue in the logo
