Stepen is often misunderstood as a character. He is beautiful, yet tragic character with a good heart. Since the trauma of losing his sister he thought that the only thing he could control was his work, that's why he was always trying to hold the knife, that's why he was such a good doctor, beacuse that's the only way he had the control in his life. As a person who probably hasn't been happy since his childhood, he hide behind arrogance, knowledge and always tries to be a 'tough' guy. He always tries to save people, because he don't want anyone to go through what he went. He never wanted to kill Wanda as an enemy, he only wanted her to realize that what she does is bad. Stephen is a person who would sacrifice his life for others, he sacrified his job and his 'old life', beacuse it didn't mattered to him that he wouldn't be happy, it only mattered that it was better for the world. In his first movie he was ready to live eternity dying and in pain, if it meant that those on Earth would live. He is a deeply carring person, who always have to make decisions who will be the best not for him or for one person, but for the whole world (that's why even Defender Strange wasn't evil, he did what he thought was the best for all).

I just hope that he will be the new leader of the avengers in the future movies and that they will use him as a character then a plot device because they treat iron man so much better than dr strange.

This is beautiful. It perfectly captures how I feel about Dr Strange. He's seriously underrated and misunderstood. He has a kind heart, great intentions. Also people seriously don't talk about his backstory more. I'm still a bit upset that he's only really used as a plot device by Marvel in DSMOM, but I'm also glad to see him getting a move on from Christine by the end of the movie Edit: He always the guy to make the difficult choice (As Christine said, holding the knife) because he can't let anything go wrong, he has to be the one to save the majority, to see the bigger picture
