I can say as an older person that a lot of music was trash based upon the lyrics alone. Sex, murder, and drugs.

In what tangible way has pan africanism helped black people in the past 80 years 😂😂

Only thing i can think is it has allowed for us to have more token blacks to be able to get rich and famous on the off chance that they’re lucky enough to have their voice sound good on a microphone for the entertainment of all non black peoples when they would not have been able to succeed otherwise due to our global subjugation and powerlessness

Unless you’re working in Hiphop industry, It’s not supposed to help you financially.. other than by giving you an example to follow and or improve and expound upon. It binds us culturally. We attend events and parties and listen to the music. We recite and analyze the songs and exchange ideas and criticisms. We dance, nod our heads and enjoy the songs. However, Nobody owes you anything. You get out of life what you put into it. I’m not a socialist and don’t feel that I’m entitled to anyone else’s success. All I want is the opportunity and freedom.

It put African Americans on the map in the biggest way. Now all over the world, the black man has an influence, a voice. Now we are communicating ideas and experiences to others. (Ameen) Don’t let the other man control your expression.
