Dr. Windsor's mailing list is one of my favorite emails I get every Friday morning! Seriously, one of the best out there and the good attitude is the reason I always make sure the open them.

Great ,very enjoyable,glad to hear him speak about money 💰,if theirs one thing I constantly came across in martial arts clubs it was the notion as if it was all spiritual (shite)and therefore taboo to earn from it , I took great pleasure in informing peeps that it's training for surviving violence(realty ),the spiritual (shite) part came into play after the real violence(reality )had happened to try and deal with the mental consequences of it

Yes thats an aspect often over looked. A part of the presentations I give to kids and non sword folk is the use of ethical philosophies in many martial arts as the people of the past new they needed to imbue the martial training with a knowledge of how and when to use it that was not all about power. They needed the people with the knowledge to make the right choices not the easy choices.

Great video, I love these. You guys are great. My love affair with swords started when I was a child in the early 70s. A friend and I saw the 1958 movie The Vikings. We just had to have swords after that but there wasn't any available. My friend's Dad had a garden with tomatoes. The plants were held up by 1x2 boards 4 feet long with a point on one end. We took a couple 1x2's cut them to 3 feet long and nailed a guard the used metal trash can lids as shields. So it began.

Nothing like Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas fighting with swords and throwing axes! For me the gate way was Errol Flynn Robinhood and Pirate movies.
