Replace the flasher box. The oem one is for hid lights. Wont work for leds. The correct way to fix it.

@@superwilcox9026 turn signals are not HID. they are incandescent. HID stands for high intensity discharge. some headlights are HID, but that's not what anyone is talking about here.

somehow it works because the indicator light uses the turn signal that is off as a ground. Therefore if you wanted your indicator light back you need to install diodes on the feed lines from the L+R signals to the indicator light. Also give the indicator a proper ground to chassis.

Thanks for posting this! Worked perfectly on my '08 KLR650. Now I guess I'll try finua's tip about diodes between indicator and signals. Someday I'll learn how to squash the electro-gremlins.

Thanks man. This is a quick fix! I've uploaded my own version of a similar problem. But it's slightly different since it was due to a new dashboard. Going from 2 lights to 1 on the dash.

02 Suzuki Marauder 800.... Put 2 trailer Amber runner LEDs and 2-- 3/4small LEDs in front and 2--- 3/4 small LEDs in rear for blinkers!!! Had the same issue with all 4 blinking!! Pulled the indicator bulb out and it fixed it until I can get the $5.00 diode in the mail....

Just replace the flasher box, oem is made for hid lights not led.
