Definitely. There's a big difference between being able to pick up hip hop choreo and being able to pop. Perfecting those muscle hits is a lot harder than people give these dancers credit for. These poppers have insane control over all of their different muscles and that takes a lot of hard work and the patience to know that it will eventually pay off.

Agreed, although IMO, it's easier to learn contemporary than to learn to pop like this. None of the contemporary people could do a routine like this, but by the end of the show we've had some hop hop people master contemporary styles (Josh, Twitch etc)

they're two completely different styles of animating. They're both incredible at what they do. Jade is more of a isolation based animating, and blueprint ismore full body movements so in this ruitine looked way cleaner.

I think glitch was a huge help in getting poppers on this show. He was the first season they brought on dubstep. Also' Sytycd people like Pacman who brought the battling on the show. It's the main reason they only have poppers "battle" or dance for their lives. Every style could, but poppers/animators are the most fun to look at.

I agree with you when you say that they both have their own style of doing what they do, im a firm believer in that, but animation for me is being able to watch someone do something that youve never seen before but still be able to register it. The difference between the two is Blu has more control which i think edges him i front of Jade. Jade is a dope dancer but his solo reminded memore of Krump than Animaion.

the reason it's called "so you think you can dance?" is because they take dancers who are expertise in a certain genre of dance and put them to the test with different style routines to see if "they think they can dance"

It's not geared towards any style specifically, but contemporary and ballroom dancers are tend to pick up choreography more easily because they have formal training while hip hop dancers tend to have little to no formal training and thus have a little more difficulty picking up choreo of styles that are not their own.

The judges are looking at the way he makes his expressions. What they're telling him is the TRUTH and they do whatever they can to make him improve.. Why would they be afraid of him getting the same amount of votes as Cyrus did anyways? It makes the show. Without him then I'm sure most people would stop watching.. I honestly like Bluprint and Jade, people need to stop comparing the two and start acknowledging the both of them. Everyone in the show are great dancers. Come on.

This is not an animation competition. Blu does that better but overall Jade is on his level. If you say Blu is out of his league, put Jade vs Blu in something like a krump battle and see what happens... With blu there is clarity of movement, amazing control. with jade it's more energy and he's good at connecting with the audience.

It's not that they don't like poppers, it's just that a lot of the hip-hop style dancers have trouble with styles like jazz and contemporary. Dancers on the show have to be good at many styles, not just what they've practiced. They have to do hip-hop routines on here as well so it's not like they just leave that part of dance out.

I have never watched SYTYCD any season all the way through. I just don't like how that show isi pretty much catered to contemporary and ballroom bullshit. They tend to weed out the poppers, breakers and hip-hop dancers little do they know that's pretty much what MOST of America wants to see. But this season has made me a fan of the show knowing that they put (both) Jade AND Bluprint through. Like I said, I've never watched before but BEST PERFORMANCE handsdown. They murdered that shit!!
