This one reminds me of the end of Blade Runner - Roy and Pris hiding in the decaying ruins of the Bradbury building, fighting desperately to preserve their lives and humanity against a world trying to drown their consciousness under its bleak oppressiveness. Two characters I deeply connected to when I was young (and often still do).
