Welcome again for a new aircraft modification video and this time we take a go at a JAVELIN modified Cessna P210N Pressurized Centurion.
VERDICT:
- PAINT: KEEP AS IS
- INTERIOR: TOTAL MAKEOVER
- INSTRUMENT PANEL: TOTAL REVAMP and GARMINIZATION is needed. Bring it into GLASS COCKPIT with all the whistles and bells available from GARMIN to date.
This aircrafr has the JAVELIN LYCOMING TIO540 ENGINE sporting a 4 Blade Q-Tip Hartzell propeller and offering a whopping 350Horsepower. This gives much increased climb performance and a 15knots extra in cruise but it is not exactly economic on fuel. It is like a Muscle Car with wings. Or a bit of a fuel guzzler as they call in it in America.
As far as aerodynamical improvements, a HORTON STOL kit was installed that consists in extended and drooped leading edges, stall fences, Flap and Aileron Gap Seals.
Contrary to the Robertson STOL (R/STOL), it does not have the neat AILERON DROOP system.
It has FLINT AERO TIP TANKS increasing the fuel capacity with 34 US Gallon.
The aircraft will be lightened up by removing all STEAM GAUGES and getting rid of the VACCUUM PUMP system.
YES! It is time to get this aircraft an all GLASS COCKPIT makeover and a new interior as well as a WHELEN AEROSPACE LED (ORION & PARMETHEUS) EXTERIOR LIGHT package.
Also a very important ADD-ON will be a WEATHER RADAR system, ACTIVE TRAFFIC, TERRAIN AWARENESS SYSTEM, UNDERSPEED, OVERSPEED and ENHANCED STABILITY PROTECTIONS and a very capable precise AUTOPILOT SYSTEM.

Unusual background track. So many upgrades! Is it difficult to ensure change control and integration of all the new systems, like anti-ice, spoilers, etc.?

The speedbrakes of PRECISE FLIGHT are STC`d on this model. The panel, well, if you still have all or near all ANALOG instruments. there will be a time that it will pay off going directly all glass if one or the other starts to fail. Which is why I am very into a full integration that GARMIN offers with its G3X, G500TXi, G600TXi platforms and the wonderfull GFC500 and GFC600 autopilots. Both work great. I love the touchscreen GTN750/650Xi`s combo too. And the TXi EIS (Engine Instruments) are just fabulous. Just like if you were flying a 737NG or MAX you can now preprogram your descend into the GTN and have it talk to your GFC autopilot in VNAV. All you have to do is select the desired altitud at which you want to cross a certain waypoint and upon reaching the TOD, the GFC500 or GFC600 will start descending. The PRECISEFLIGHT Speedbrakes help with avoiding shock cooling the engine. I like the CENTURIONS a lot. There are so many upgrade for them.
