Draco drum not working properly after 2 1/2 years can we fix it

My Draco minima is letting a lot of fines through, a quick investigation and its the seal that needs changing, they are £18, one is on order and will be changed when it comes.#koi #koipond #fish #fishpond #dracodrum #fiberglass #koifry #koifish #pond

Got the same drum, motor has failed only had it since Sept brand new. Not good at all... whilst the parts are replaced under warranty if I am having to replace the motor after well under a year usage. The drum is also very stiff to turn... told the seal might need replacing as well!!! What a nightmare of a job that will be.

Hi Richard I’ve replaced a couple of the motors myself, it is because the drum is stiff on the rubber i grease the rubber were it pushes onto the drum every few months, it makes the drum turn better and will stop the motor burning out under pressure, the seal isn’t to bad to replace take the 4 bolts out at the front and pull the seal out, then push the new one back in, hope that helps and hope you get the issue sorted mate 👍

There is some nice fish in them they are from Adam byer from last years fry, they just need some space to grow i had over 600 in the same vat, this tank on this video there is 6 of them fish in there they have reached 4 times the size crazy, the doitsu karashigois have put some good size on 👍

Spot on mate. there is no shusuis in there it maybe 1 of the doitsu Karashigois,there was a few in the mix what Dan had, hopefully they are they are fast growers when you give them the space and food

Cheers Jamie appreciate it. It can’t be loosened mate its when you turn it back on, turning it off is easy enough, it is solid when you turn it back on I will start using a spanner the plastic handle slips off if you don’t push it on enough, cheers mate 👍

@@Dannyskoichannel yes but most ball valves have an internal key so you can loosen them or tighten them I did a video on this last year 👍

Yea mate they do that’s what I will do, unscrew the top nut hopefully it’s the top 1, and back it off a bit it will hopefully make it a lot easier, if not I will do it when I flush the bottom drain through on my next flush, on the bottom of the valve cheers mate 👍
