Yeah and the dudley scene was in the book, it was a really good moment. Petunia also had a moment. I also miss the moment of petunia getting Dumbledore's howler. Those moments show a LOT about the dursleys.

I like the idea Narcissa handed Draco hos wand back after lifting it off Harry. Then when Draco returns to his mother during that gathering she handed his wand back to him. Then as Draco runs by he throws the wand. Which is interesting because Draco is metaphorically putting his life in Harry's hands

Draco already saved Harry's life when he defeated Dumbledore and this lead Harry unknowingly to save Draco in the Room of Requirement. Dumbledore told Harry about this in Prisoner of Azkaban, when he bemoaned having accidentally saved Pettigrew's life, while Dumbledore said it will come in handy, as this left a magical bond between them. Pettigrew paid his debt when he stopped himself from carrying out Voldemort's command to kill Harry in Malfoy Manor, which is why the hand strangled him instead. The wand scene really isn't necessary, since the Malfoys already helped Harry so much, Lucius not recognising him, Narcissa claiming he is dead, etc

Honestly, Draco and his family never changed! They indirectly helped Harry because they wanted to live. A family like them is never going to change!

Umm it's pretty evident that narcissa's priority was draco and she would do anything for him. She still helped harry in a way. Draco did change and the it was pretty evident. It was choice between choosing his family vs others. If he left voldemort would def punish his parents. So ofcourse he stuck around but here it was a do or die moment and he did what he actually wanted to do. Also the biggest proof of draco's change is his own son scorpius who grew up to be so kind and good. Point is yes draco was a bully but he wasn't evil. He was petty but wasn't into murdering and torture. He didn't have good examples to learn from and didn't truly have control over his own life and choices. People keep saying how harry and his friends stood for what's right, I will say their situations aren't similar. It would be interesting to see how the trio would have dealt this if molly or Arthur ended up being a death eater. Harry had his struggles and draco had his.
