I always feel so soooo sad for Renfield. You did an excellent job as painting him as the victim more than the mad man.

I just finished my first “reading” of ‘Dracula’ with you - thank you Tony Walker! Magnificent!!
@creestone84972 ай бұрын
This was my first time through this book. Absolutely brilliant. Dreary, immersive, and even romantic at times. At first I believed the death or “genuine death” of Dracula was anticlimactic. I was imagining a vicious fight in the castle ruins.. I was disappointed initially, but then I had an epiphany. It was subtle, simple, and deserving. Not everything has to be over the top like a Marvel movie. It was the perfect ending of an era, moreso reality based and beautiful for that. Bravo to the narration as well. Splendid and I’ll be looking for more!! 🙏✌️🙏

Amazing. Why has no film yet, done this story justice? This deserves a trilogy, or series. As a trilogy, the first film should be about Johnathon in the castle, second film would follow Lucy ending with the groups plotting to kill dracula making it the darkest film, and finally the third film would be about their journey back to Transylvania to kill Dracula and his wives. It could be amazing.

Great work, Tony. Your interpretation of Van Helsing is definitely the best I have heard on several audio versions of the novel I have listened to over the years. The right amount of eccentricity without crossing over into parody. The accent you gave him reminds me of the actor who played Professor Bernstein in Hammer's "Curse of Frankenstein" (who also fits the physical description of Van Helsing from the book!) Some day a film studio or television network may take the time to do justice to Stoker's full original work.....some day!
