I love that Drac taught Johnny how to fly in this one, it's like it's continuing a tradition of sorts since in the first movie we've seen him teach Mavis and in the second one he taught Dennis

I feel like this movie should’ve been the sequel. It would’ve been cool to have a movie where Drac and Johnny bonded and then Drac gave his blessing for them to marry and then Dennis could’ve been born in the third movie and the fourth could’ve been the cruise movie where he finds love AND gives the hotel to Mavis

the most disappointing thing about transylvania is the lack of father and son moments cuz that's been a thing since the first movie....then they jumped right into having kids in the 2nd instead of having more development b/w the father and son, thats just kinda backwards....

i remember looking forward to seeing dragon johnny's final form when i first saw this, because i love designing dragons in my free time, i was extremely curious to see what it looked like needless to say i was extremely disappointed, i strongly dislike the style of dragon designs where the dragon looks fat and has tiny wings they can still use to fly with, especially when said dragon is supposed to be intimidating, i cant be the only one who thinks this either to me, chunkyness and tiny wings arent intimidating, i would go on a rant on how i design them personally but today i have a strange amount of self control

The first movie was great. 10/10 no complaints. The second was the weakest in my opinion. Sidelining two of the three main characters of the first movie was a huge mistake. I do not hate Drac's friends but they cannot be expected to carry the story. The third movie was fun. Nothing groundbreaking but it was entertaining at least and the Hellsing family made much better villains than Drac's dad. This movie is surprisingly good. None of the jokes were really laugh out loud funny but the emotional center of the film is the closest to the original due to the focus on Johnny and Drac's relationship. In the second and third movies Johnny kind of just feels like a generic idiot character who's mostly good for comic support. But in the first and fourth it's really apparent that even though he seems oblivious he actually has a special kind of wisdom that comes from traveling the world.
