Jimmies independent traders was a reference to a show we had here in england in the 80's, it was highly popular called only fools and horses, in the show it was Trotters independent traders and they had the robin too, also the equipment shop is a slight joke too, its called Q&Q over here we have a big DIY chain called B&Q same sign layout

The new bricks will match the color of the bricks already on the home over time. Weather and the sun will make the bricks lighter in color. Aggregate (aka small rocks) doesn't go in mortar. It's in concrete for setting fence posts or making a sidewalk

Talk to the helper about the supplies and how to do things. That way he tells you about what mixtures are needed and where to find free supplies. I'm pretty sure you need to brick the smokestack on the side of the house and for water you need to buy a bucket.
