Onagers are just a form of catapult basically, a roman design and an older variant but mechanically not all that far off. I think for pronunciation, On-ah-jur is probably a lot closer to how you're meant to say it.

1:48 It's being held down by the torsion rope, because the game devs were dumb enough to install it quite literally backwards. I mean seriously. This game is specifically about siege-engines and they messed up one of the most crucial elements of a siege-engine in all of them. It is as stupid as trying to tow a car by pushing the rope instead of pulling it. On the ballista they are not the wrong way, but rather installed in such way that they do not impose any torque at all to the side arms. I'm seriously triggered by the blatant inaccuracies. Looks fun game to try out, but I simply cannot overlook those issues. I hope they fix them, but highly doubt it.

Yeah ballista are meant to take down armored units and such, not really for large fortified structures. They can but not really optimize for that unless you're using fire
