Yes
@TonmoyBhowmik3 жыл бұрын
Sir, At 16:40 and 17:44 I have a confusions over delta-wye configuration of transformer. I have some reference books, where series switch of the ungrouded Y side remain closed and shunt switch of delta side kept open whenever its delta-wye or wye-delta(in both y is ungrounded) which is really contradictory! Reference books are: 1.power system analysis by Grainger & Stevenson. 2. Elements of power system by Stevenson 3. Modern power system analysis by Kothari & Nagrath (3rd ed.) 4. Power system analysis by nagsarkar & sukhija 5.Power system analysis by Hadi Saadat However sir thanks a lot for all those lectures, i will remain indebt to you. Thanks from the bottom of my heart and love from Bangladesh.
@DrAfrozAlam3 жыл бұрын
How series switch of ungrounded Y can be closed? Please know the fact that zero sequence current can't get path via ungrounded neutral, hence will be absent in phases as well. That's why series switch is open circuited.
@TonmoyBhowmik3 жыл бұрын
Got it sir, thank you. I was actually confused seeing all of those books contradicting only in the case of Delta-Star(ungrouded) zero sequence network; which they also have mentioned as a special case.

Hello Doc. why is the series switch not open for the second transformer on the secondary side since it is delta?

Sir , please let me know why source voltage E is not shown in positive sequence network of transformer and transmission line ..
@DrAfrozAlam5 жыл бұрын
As these are not voltage generating sources. However, the voltage drop (with respect to Reference bus) appears on Sending as well as Receiving ends.

Dr. Afroz Alam Sir, Your lectures are superb 👌👌. But I am also bit confused about the positive & negative sequence network diagram for the transformer. Why the reference bus is not connected to the impedance line as in synchronous generators ? Many Thanks in advance ..!!
